The Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum
New measures implemented to prevent overcrowding 
 
Since the G7 Hiroshima Summit last May, the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum has seen a surge in the number of deeply interested visitors, leading to overcrowding and long lines at the entrance during peak hours. To address this issue, the museum will extend its opening hours from March 1, 2024. Read more.
In addition, a WEB ticketing booking is available on Klook, allowing online reservations for certain hours (for entry 7:30 to 8:30, 17:30 to 18:30). 
 
 
Finnair
The flights to Nagoya start on the 30th of May
Finnair is increasing flights to Japan during the coming summer season by bringing back the flights between Helsinki and Nagoya. Nagoya will be Finnair’s third destination in Japan; the airline already flies a daily flight to Tokyo Haneda and during the coming summer season up to six times per week also to Tokyo Narita and five times per week to Osaka. The flights to Nagoya start on the 30th of May and leave Helsinki right after midnight at 00:15 on Thursdays and Sundays. The flights back from Nagoya to Helsinki are on Mondays and Fridays and leave Nagoya at 22:50 in the evening. From Europe, Finnair’s evening flight to Helsinki and the morning flight from Helsinki will connect perfectly to the re-established Nagoya flights. Finnair – the official airline of Moomins – has been flying to Japan since 1983. Finnair flies between Europe and Japan in co-operation with Japan Airlines, British Airways, and Iberia. For any inquiries, please contact Finnair.
Echigo-Tsumari Art Triennale

The 9th edition of one of the world's largest international art festivals, Echigo-Tsumari Art Triennale, will be held for 87 days, starting 13 July and running until 10 November 2024.  Watch the ‘Echigo-Tsumari Art Field - Encountering Art in Rural Niigata’ video to get a feel for what this expansive, immersive art experience in the coutnryside is like.
