Japan Experience
Launched the online purchase of individual train ticket
Japan Experience, in partnership with Japan Railways Group, has launched its online train ticket service, providing an alternative to the Japan Rail Pass. With Japan's extensive rail network covering 30,000 km, the train is a prime choice for exploring the country. The service, which started on 1 March 2024, offers over 600,000 departures and features a 100% digital reservation process, including QR code-based exchanges. This initiative provides travellers with the ease of reserving in advance and ensures seat availability during peak seasons. Customers can select from various ticket options, including class and seating preferences. Japan Experience has been specializing in Japan for over 40 years, always improving its offering for both BtoB and BtoC and promoting sustainable tourism by supporting train travel as an eco-friendly option. Walk Japan has launched the Shikoku: Kochi & Ehime Discovery
A guided, seven-day tour exploring two of Japan’s most beautiful but remotest prefectures
Since its establishment in 1992, Walk Japan has been operating walking tours to lesser-travelled regions of Japan. Walk Japan has launched the Shikoku: Kochi & Ehime Discovery - a guided, seven-day tour exploring two of Japan’s most beautiful but remotest prefectures. Shikoku has long been considered a sacred island, famed for its 1,200 kilometre 88-temple Ohenro pilgrimage. This tour includes the theme of pilgrimage with visits to Chikurin-ji, the 31st Ohenro temple, and a little-known 12 kilometre mini-pilgrimage set in a rustic valley. It also explores old mountain routes including one that was once vital in transporting sea salt to remote communities, and another that follows in the daring footsteps of Sakamoto Ryoma, a samurai hero of Japan. Other highlights include Yusuhara, a mountain town where a cluster of buildings designed by architect Kuma Kengo is found, and Ozu, a charming castle town featuring Garyu Sanso, a Japanese masterpiece of garden, villa and teahouse. The first tour departs 10th May 2024. For any inquiries, please contact Walk Japan.
